Internal Family Systems Introductory Weekend

Derek P. Scott RSW is a Certified IFS Therapist based out of London, Ontario. He has achieved the highest level of training in the model and is founder and CEO
of IFSCA; an organisation dedicated to promoting the model across Canada. He currently teaches courses in Toronto, Fredericton, at the University of Western Ontario and online.

Through didactic teaching, demonstrations and experiential exercises you will learn how to:
• “Unblend” from your own parts
• Offer realistic possibilities for change
• Map your own system (and your client’s)
• Identify protective parts and get clarity about
vulnerable parts seeking attention
• Recognise your “therapist parts” that may
interfere with the work
• Hold “Self-energy” in your own work
• Teach communicating from Self for the parts
• Encourage the recognition of “Self” as the Inner
Attachment figure
• Recognise how the client’s Self capable of
healing their internal distress
