Featuring individual sets from each ensemble alongside special collaborative performances, this unique concert brings together contemporary and traditional roots music in one of Vancouver Island’s premier listening rooms — an evening of exceptional songs, spontaneous musical interplay, and the spirit of live acoustic performance.
Oliver Swain
Two-time Western Canadian Music Award winner and JUNO nominee Oliver Swain has been a fixture in North American roots music for three decades. His high-lonesome vocals, 150-year-old banjo, and string bass have graced the stages of every major folk festival in Canada, as well as celebrated international events including New Orleans Jazz Fest, Tønder Festival in Denmark, and Byron Bay Bluesfest in Australia.

Elise LeBlanc
A poet at heart, Canadian singer-songwriter Élise LeBlanc (she/they) is inspired by the romance of wild things. Deeply influenced by classic country, Appalachian music, and western swing, her songs explore queer desire, betrayal, hope, and nature lore. With a gentle twang and rich, expressive vibrato that nods to classic crooners like Patsy Cline and Peggy Lee, LeBlanc crafts music that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
