This is a concert that reminds us of the historic significance of New York’s Broadway Theatres and London’s West End. From the earliest times of European operetta, the music hall, and vaudeville through to the creation of the unique art form called Musical Theatre, these two world cities have led the way. Expect to hear selections from Richard Rodgers South Pacific, Burton Lane’s Finian’s Rainbow, Ivor Novello’s Perchance to Dream and Robert B. Sherman’s Mary Poppins.
