AUDITION NOTICE
SLEEPING BEAUTY - Peninsula Players Christmas Pantomome 2017

I know it's summer and we're all enjoying the fine weather but it's time for all you actors and actresses to think about our Christmas Panto. It will be a traditional panto with heroes and villains, music, dancing, audience participation and lots of humour.
Plot Synopsis: At her christening, Princess Aurora is blessed by a group of fairies but cursed by a wicked fairy who was inadvertantly left off the guest list. However, her life appears to be developing normally until her 17th birthday when she pricks her finger and falls asleep for a hundred years. She is awakened by a young prince from nearby Langford (who is also the son of the wicked fairy) and who is exoected to marry her - but there seems to be a snag. The local shopkeeper, her son and a young fairy try to help Aurora find a solution to the snag but the wicked fairy, aided by her henchmen, does her best to thwart their plans. Will she succeed or will good triumph?

Auditions will be held at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney on
Thursday Sep 07 - 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday Sep 09 - 2 to 4 p.m.
Sunday Sep 10 - 2 to 4 p.m.
Rehearsals will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons starting Sep 14. There will be nine performances shared between our two theatres, at the Berwick and the Mary Winspear Centre, between Dec 15 and Dec 29.
There is a fairly large cast with roles of varying compexity so we are looking for actors both experienced and new. If you can sing and dance, you will be especially welcome, although not all roles will require these talents. The only must-have requirement is a sense of fun!
